Sony Interactive Entertainment just announced a new colour that will be joining the PULSE 3D Wireless Headset lineup starting next month, Midnight Black, building on the galaxy-themed colours introduced for DualSense controllers in June.

Midnight Black features two subtly different shades of black with light grey detailing to reflect the vision of space through the night sky and matches the same colour scheme as the DualSense controller in Midnight Black.

The PULSE 3D Wireless Headset is specifically designed to take full advantage of the console’s Tempest 3D AudioTech, with a fine-tuned frequency response to help players more precisely place sounds in exact locations to match on-screen gameplay.

This new colour will be available at select retailers from Friday, 29 October for RRP $159.95 AUD. Pre-orders are available from today. For more information head to PlayStation.com.

Finally, in the second major system software update, it was announced that a new equalizer control feature for the PULSE 3D Wireless Headset within PlayStation 5’s sound settings will be available, to enhance the audio gaming experience.

In addition, players can select from three presets which are designed to place extra emphasis on the sounds of footsteps and fired shots.
