January 22, 2026 1:30 pm in by

The children’s card game Orchard Toys Jungle Heads and Tails has been recalled in Australia following safety concerns identified by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC). The recall applies to products sold nationally through ALDI stores between December 2024 and September 2025.

Reason for the Recall

The recall was issued after it was discovered that the small elephant playing piece included with the game may contain a cardboard disc lodged in its nose. This disc should have been removed during manufacturing. If it becomes dislodged, it can form a small part that poses a serious choking hazard, particularly for young children.

Safety Risks Identified

Due to the potential for the cardboard disc to separate, the product does not comply with Australia’s mandatory toy safety standards for children aged up to and including 36 months. If swallowed, the loose component could result in serious injury or death.

What Consumers Should Do

Parents and caregivers are urged to stop using the game immediately and ensure it is kept out of reach of children. Consumers can return the affected product to any ALDI store for a full refund, with no proof of purchase required.
