Top End police are seeking information following a violent home invasion in Alice Springs.
Around 4 yesterday morning (April 14), authorities were called to a property in East Side where it’s reported three men had smashed their way through the front door with an axe.
A woman in the home was allegedly hit in the head with a baton multiple times, before being punched in the face by one offender.
Police say the offenders then ransacked the home leaving with two sets of car keys.
It’s further alleged the offenders returned to the house a short time later stealing jewellery, a laptop and cash.
Territory Duty Superintendent Tanya Woodcock says, “This was a particularly violent attack and would have been deeply traumatising for the victims.”
Anyone with information or CCTV footage is being asked to contact authorities.
