A ram raid has left a local Darwin business with thousands of dollars worth of damages.
The Beachfront Hotel at Rapid Creek was targeted by a group of 7 offenders who broke into the pub around 4am Saturday morning.
It’s alleged prior to the ram-raid, the group also broke into a house in Anula late Friday night, stealing a car and then using it to ram into the back gates of The Beachfront Hotel.
CCTV captured the moments of the group who smashed open the back door glass and windows of the pub, where police say the group then stole 5 thousand dollars worth of alcohol.
Later that morning police arrested a 13-year-old who was taken to Palmerston watchhouse.
The youth has been charged with aggravated unlawful use of a motorvehicle, damage to property, stealing, armed with an offensive weapon, and serious breach of bail.
The robbery and damage the ram-raid caused has left the bar with 25 thousand dollars worth of repairs.
Investigations to identify the other 6 outstanding offenders is ongoing.
