A man has been charged with murdering his partner in Alice Springs.
It’s alleged the 51-year-old attacked the 47-year-old woman with a blunt weapon at a bush camp near Stott Terrace at 9.50am on Saturday.
Emergency services tried to resuscitate the victim but she was declared dead an hour later.

The man was arrested at the scene and was later charged with murder, breach of a domestic violence order and going armed with an offensive weapon.
He was remanded in custody to face the Alice Springs Local Court today.
