Top End police have arrested one teenager in relation to an alleged aggravated robbery in Katherine.
Authorities say around midnight on Saturday, a group of 6 youths used rocks to smash a door and enter a service station on Katherine Terrace where they stole several items.
A male staff member was able to secure himself in a back room until police arrived.
Police have now arrested a 13-year-old in relation to the incident and charged them with aggravated burglary.
They say more arrests are expected to be made.
Detective Senior Sergeant Michael Ordelman says, “Information provided by members of the community proved to be very significant in this matter.
“Detectives are continuing to make enquiries to identify further offenders.”
